Bronchtein released several folk albums under the moniker Hip Hatchet before reverting to his given name for his 2018 album “Me and the Moon.” Acclaimed roots music website, The Bluegrass Situation, says the songs are “a quiet reflection on what it means to always be on the leaving side of things.” Bronchtein has toured extensively in support of his own songs, both stateside and abroad. He has opened shows for the likes of Shawn Colvin, Sarah Jarosz, Anais Mitchell, Delbert McClinton, and many others.
